My bro might own the MLB record for most consecutive games with a hit, but did you know I own the record for fewest steals to lead the league with 15 in 1950. Joe’s hit streak broke Hal Chase’s Yankee record of 33 set as a Highlander in 1907. We both broke in at the Pacific Coast League where Joe owns, you guessed it, the longest hit streak there as well with 61 games in 1933. Little known family secret, my 34 game hit streak is still the Boston Red Sox record. Enough about hit streaks…need a cup of coffee…brb!
